Oversized goods are all those goods that do not fit into the useful dimensions of a 13.6m * 2.45m * 3m of a mega truck or maximum weight allowed on the axles. For the transport of oversized goods, it is necessary to obtain additional permits, and in some cases special escorts (authorized civilian escorts or police escorts) and route studies that include measurements in curves and under bridges to see if the good can pass safely.

Characteristic for oversized goods is the lack of standardization in terms of transport, each transport requiring individual planning.
